ACE CSEC CXC
Division Adult & Continuing Education CSEC Subjects
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
There are no entry requirements for CSEC students. However, CAPE students are advised to sit the CSEC Principles of Accounts and Mathematics examinations before taking the related CAPE courses.
Note Well
Persons applying to enter the ACE Division must submit the original and a copy of the following documents, along with a printout of their application:
a) original birth certificate or passport or citizenship certificate
b) original CXC/GCE examination certificate(s) or results slip(s) if applicable
APPLICATION PERIOD
The Application period for the CSEC and CAPE programmes is April 1st to July 31st. To apply, visit the College’s website: cfbc.edu.kn.
Please note that applications submitted after July 31st will attract a late fee of $50ECD.
REGISTRATION
Registration for CAPE and CSEC classes is usually scheduled during the last week of August and the third week in January.
All students are required to registered on CFBC Student Information System (SONISWEB).
OPTIONS FOR CSEC REGISTRATION
Students may register for a minimum of one CSEC subject. The maximum number of CSEC subjects for which a student may be registered is determined by the schedule.
Students may register for the following general proficiency subjects:
• Human and Social Biology
• Chemistry
• Electronic Document Preparation & Management
• English A
• English B
• Social Studies
• Information Technology
• Mathematics
• Office Administration
• Principles of Accounts
• Principles of Business
Note Well
• Students may opt to write the CSEC examination after one year or two years of study.
• Undersubscribed classes may be cancelled.
FEES
ACE students are required to pay the following fees:
• Application (all new students) - $35.00
• Registration for CSEC and CAPE - $375.00 per semester
• ID card CSEC and CAPE - $35.00
• CSEC fee per subject - $150.00 per year
